Everyone I talk to and my own experience has been that fishing is awful this year for some odd reason....I generally catch 15 20 (be it undersized) fluke when I go out, this year maybe 1 undersized fluke, whats going on here? I go from Fire Island to the Raritan bay.....

It has been a weird year.

I fish the reefs around Jones inlet and we have done well with fluke but did poorly with sea bass and the spring striper run was nothing for us. That said, my friend has been catching everything from the beach. Go figure.

I have not made it off shore all season. Tuna have just not shown up on a consistent basis anywhere.

My friend Pete tells me he and some people he knows have gone out in Raritan bay all day from 8 to 4pm and come home with nothing... Thats weird!

NE Florida fishing has been good both in shore and off shore. Right now the mullet run is on, water temps are falling and it's getting even better.

Going in mid November to Sarasota area, hope there is something to catch then!

The Rockfishing (Stripers) has been good here in the Mid-Atlantic area, Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River.
