I purchased my Raritan model # 160HF912 last summer from Boatfix. Life has been good with the conversion ever since.

My question is, recently when I open up the boat on the weekend, it appears that nasty water of discharged, has found it's way into the bowl. Also when you flush, afterwards while the bowl is filling, (freshwater) you see small bubbles coming up from discharge...as if a valve is not seating in the discharge.

By looking at the parts explosion, it looks as if the Joker valve is what keeps any discharge from re-entering the bowl once flushed. Not sure of it's intended function...

Could this be my problem? It seems as though it should prevent back flow. Is this a common problem? If this is my likely problem, can I purchase this valve or repair kit through Boatfix or do I need to to go through Raritan. Besides this problem, all is working well with the unit.

Thanks for your time.
