I have a Mercruiser 260 hp 5.7L V8 with an Alpha 1 stern drive. Reinstalled sterndrive after bellows replacement. Shift lever will go into neut, forwd,& rev, and everything seemed to line up ok. When the propeller turns I can hear a slight thumping noise coming from the propeller area. Is this normal?. I can hear it in foward and reverse. I can see the propeller moving slightly in and out when turned by hand with boat off.
