Proper bedding compund for hatches

Hello,

I'm refitting an older Silverton 31c, and I'm about to reinstall the hatches on the foredeck after painting. What is the proper bedding compound to use? I'm sure there are many ways to go with it. I have searched, and I haven't found a lot of good info on what product to use. I know I don't want to use 5200. These particular hatches are held in place by 16 SS screws. Any info would be appreciated.

4200 or Sikaflex

If you use any silicone products be sure not to crank the screws down tight UNTIL the silicone has cured over night. If you use silicone that is.
