I am preparing to install a transom mount transducer for a furuno fishfinder. I am pretty handy with tool sin general, I just finfished to flushmount install of my furuno gp7000 chartplotter, but I am not sure about the hole the instructions want me to drill into my transom. According to the instructions it needs to be a 3/4" hole to allow for the connector. I think I just assumed the connector would be removable or something, because that seems like a vry large hole.
So how do I seal it and waterproof it, etc...? What is the best type of fitting etc. to use for where the wire passes through the transom?
