I was originally researching Sea Rays, 280 and 300 Sundancers. A boating friend steered me to the Regal and the 2860 cruiser is a good lookin boat.

Seems to have a better layout, more open, than the equiv sea rays. Gets good reviews in the boat mags. Not telling you guys anything you don't already know...

Found one relatively local to me, 2007 with trailer for 77K. Has the Volvo Penta engines (base configuration?), A/C, windlass, 45hrs, fresh water boat. Assuming good condition, is this a reasonable price?

For you experienced Regal folks, is there anything specific I should look for during the inspection? TIA

I would think that is ok but may be a little high for the market. After owning my 3060 for two years I would look at all of the cabinet hardware. Not that we had a lot of problems but my complaints would be loose nuts/bolts/screws etc. Just this last weekend my latch for shore power came off and now I have to take apart the whole darned cabinet to get to the nut that goes on the back. We have loved our boat and the performance of it. We have twin Volvo 5.0's. After two years the only wear and tear you can see on the boat is the "accidents" I have done to it. Oh yeah, check the anchor line, pull it all the way out and look closely. Both mine and a friends had to be replaced due to seperating. Would recommend the boat to anyone who asked.

medic, do you really think you are the only person I know with a Regal? HAR HAR HAR
