Pt Judith - anchoring in area of refuge

Yes, as far as I know as it is a "Harbor of refuge" meaning you can wait out a storm there. But it is not a comfortable anchorage. Even tucked in the corner, there are a lot of wakes from the commercial fishing fleet and exposed to the wind. Up the river is scenic. You may find a place to anchor at the top (I did - 30'} There is also a popular spot between two islands but the holding is terrible. I couldn't get a set with a danforth.
 
I've anchored all the way up by Wakefield, about 3 miles off the channel to the east 5'-6'. A bit tight among the moorings. I've also anchored in Judith Pond about 2 miles up north or south of Beach Island.
