Now that I have weaver snap davits in place, best way to pull dinghy up from the water? Do I use the d-rings on either end of tube or the safety rope that runs along top side of tube? All d-ring pads are glued to the tube. Motor will be manually hoisted on and off before lifting or deploying dinghy. Dinghy has wooden floor.

Thanks

I have a bow line permanently attached to the dink that I temporarily wrap around oar lock on the far (aft) side of the dink...then pull hard.

+ 1 - I have a Livingston hardshell dinghy on Weaver snap davits. The painter (bow line) goes through the oarlock and I pull hard. My boat has an aft cabin in place of a cockpit so I'm able to get up a little higher which makes it easier.

Going the other way, it took me a few times before I realized you're meant to get in the dinghy before releasing the snaps.

Sorry, I don't know the correct terms, but I pull mine up by the line on the far tube, just forward of the transom. Not the top mounted safety rope. The line that you would use to secure the aft of the dinghy to a dock cleat.

Can be challenging with a small diameter line. I switched to a larger diameter line (not as big as the lines securing my 3607 to the dock) with a few knots in it to allow me to get a grip easier. Much easier with the larger, knotted line.
