Looking for info on visiting menemsha by boat this summer. My main questions are:
Are there slips available?
What is the mooring situation, can you moor inside? Outside looks pretty unsheltered in anything other than south winds.
What if any facilities are available.

I know it's pretty sparse which is fine. Just looking for any tips.

Thanks....

Call early in the morning to reserve first come first served.

Shower and head facilities are adequate. Quaint little fishing village. Can get great seafood at the close by on the dock seafood stores. They will steam/shuck your purchases. Small village store with provisions and great homemade pies. One restaurant.

Just some additional info for those that might be interested, the reply from the Menemsha Harbormaster to an email request for info.....

"Menemsha Harbor in Chilmark is a first come, first served harbor and we do not accept reservations. However we do answer inquiries at 0700 on the morning of arrival, and IF space is available we will hold it pending your arrival later in the day.

There are 17 transient slips inside the harbor, 2 moorings inside, and 8 outside moorings. There is no launch service.

Thanks for your inquiry."

Menemsha was one of my favorite stops has a little kid, when we rated all ports by their penny candy store.
