Due to all my time and energy being devoted to selling my house (and picking the wrong time to sell it) I have not used my boat this summer. So three options for boat (24' Cruisers Inc with Merc 5/7L Alpha one) that is still winterized:
1) Have a beer or two while looking over the engine but do nothing
2) Run the engine to normal temp and then a normal winterization
3) Pour some full strength AF down the intake hose such that the impeller in the Merc Alpha One is coated and lubricated with AF then turn engine over (but not start) while spraying more fogging oil down the carb. This will scrape any rust off the cylinder walls and rings while getting more fogging oil into the cylinder. I am confident that with the impeller lubricated and not going at a fast RPM, that no damage will occur
