I've got a 7.5 KW Quicksilver branded generator on my boat that has not given me an ounce of trouble in the 2 years I've owned the boat.
It was running perfectly fine when I winterized it last winter but it won't start now.
The engine will not even crank. All I hear is a very faint hum from somewhere on the motor when I try to start it. The batteries are fine and I cleaned all the connections. I've checked the circuit breaker on the control panel and also checked the 14 amp inline fuse thats in the compartment behind the control panel.
Also, in that compartment behind the control panel there is a circuit board(engine control board I assume) that has red and a green LED lights on it(one of each). When I try to start the genny, both lights light up at the same time. I have no idea what that means.
Anyone have any ideas?
