I would like to re-do the dash around the gages in a 92 330 sundancer. Any tips on material. And any hints on a place to either get the material and do it myself or send to have made?

Thanks Nick

I had mine done by Scott Cambra at Vector Imaging 153 Barnes Street Fall River, MA 02723

Not inexpensive but better than the original.

Check out Tap Plastics for other options:

If I ever replace mine, I want to do it in teak so it matches the trim on my boat. But I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to do that.

Nick,

Suggest that you Google Marine Connection Liquidators in FL. Look at their guages.

I was able to replace several Wellcraft guages with OEM replacements for a fraction of what Wellcraft wanted.

Try flounder pounder. I have a 1997 330, and they had panels for that model manufactured new with better quality.

I haven't purchased any yet, but plan to eventually.

www.fpmarine.com Click "sea ray", then "blank panels"

Flounder wants $350. I would urge you to talk to Scott Cambra before proceeding. Also the wiring work is not a small task. However, after doing the job I am very happy with the results. I now have boards that are much better than the originals.

Ditto. I have seen Scott's work. Very nice. Of late, I have been unable to contact him. Is he still in business?

Scott is still in business. He had some issues with his web provider. He is making panels for my 1987 340 EX. Flounder Pounder also uses Scott to make the panels. Either way you will get a quality product.

Hey guys, thanks for letting me know about this thread Bill, FP marine carries my panels so you can get them from Ken no problem. Yes I am still in business but I am so busy that I have no time for internet forums anymore, but rest assured I am still doing any panel needed and am pretty sure I have the best material to reproduce the searay and wellcraft burl panels. Wshiley is correct, my web server has cost me to date 300 late emails in four different occasions, it is stressing me out so bad that i have stopped giving out the vectorled.com email and have reverted back to just using my personal one verizon.net.

Thanks again guys!

Edited to remove emails, I was not aware it was against the rules, sorry mods

Les will have a cow when he sees this last post--and rightly so! Rommer must be sleeping!

It doesn't offend me at all, but it's an add for your business which is supposed to be taboo.

Where's the ad? Is the business just by mentioning it in violation? Does Boatfix sell a similiar item? Someone questioned if the business was still in operation and someone from the business replied. I noticed as I was posting that the post was edited and did not get to see the original posting. From what I gather its ok for someone to post a link to a site but the business in question cannot mention it. Vector Imaging did not reply as a place to purchase. Just stated they were still in business and had email issues and clarified it. Had he jumped in the thread touting his business that would be a different story. I may have had a different opinion if I saw the original post but the one I see should not be a problem for anyone; Les, Rommer, Greg, or otherwise.

"I am doing any panel needed and am pretty sure I have the best material to reproduce Searay and Welcraft panels". That's an ad. That's promoting one's own business. Actually, I don't think we are allowed to post any commerccial links on this site.

People asked if I was still doing panels, I answered and informed them that I have better materials. I only came here to clarify my position, and did not want people assuming I use the same non exterior material searay originally used. I get asked that question 20 times a week so I figured it was best to clarify in one of the original places that people look for this information .

I have not received any emails from anyone who runs this site about anything I have posted nor do I want to, hence the reason I edited my profile and post. I am not here to start trouble or break forum rules.

Mandm1200, the only thing I edited was my email addresses as to not upset Gregory.

I have also removed my email from my signature as well.

Those of you who offered up my information, I thank you, obviously I cannot offer it up myself so I appreciate you passing along this information, I think these forums were originally designed for that exact purpose...to help other fix their boats.

You're right, these forums are designed to help people fix their boats, but they are not a place to promote one's own business. About a year ago, I asked a question about a captain's school and internet format. The owner of the school happened upon the thread and answered my questions. A pretty big bruhaha developed because the site owner felt he was promoting his business on the site and that was the end of that! I think we need to be consistent in application of forum rules.

Thanks - Scott - it is ashame that you can't post your email. I appreciate you responding. Seems like there is a big difference between spamming and answering a question - in both circumstances.
