Hi all,
I am getting ready to install a raw-water washdown pump on my boat to be able to clean off mud from the anchor, fish guts, whatever. This pump has to be self-priming (maybe to a couple of feet min.), 12V DC, decent flow rate and pressure to handle tough(er) dirt on a 27' boat (31'LOA), and first-and-foremost, be corrosion resistant as it will also be called upon out on the Pacific. I've looked at the various offerings from Shurflo, Jabsco and Groco, but would like to rely on real-world experience and advise from people who've actually dealt with these things. Any comments on which pump to consider? Btw., as nice as the Groco pumps are, I don't think spending $450 and up on the pump alone is worth it. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
GG
