I have been gone for a long time and would appreciate any information anyone can give me on how Regal boats are built.

there seems to be little on how most manufactures build boats recently and more on features and marketing.

Does the Regal fas track really work or is it just hype?

I have been downsizing lately from a 37', to a 29 express cruisers to a Regal 2300 open bow that I just purchased.

Any infromation would be appreciated

Thanks

Owned 2 regals, both 4080. Regal makes a quality boat. Fast Trac hull does work as it get's the majority of the hull out of the water. As a family owned company they take pride in manufacturing. They adapt easily to user demand, one reason why they sell so many sport coupes. Most people like this design as it's not as bridge and not an express.

Customer service is top notch too.

+1 on Regals. I owned one once and thought it was a great boat. Never heard a bad word about them.

We loved our Regals and while we have moved on we recommend the brand very highly.

Had very mixed emotions when we let the last one go...

Our 2860 had the fastrac hull and she was an awesome boat as well as our 3880. The fastrac hull is the real deal.

If you are ever in Orlando it would not be a bad idea to tour the factory. Very impressive to say the least. We did it when we had our 4460 built.
Our boat now has 740hrs on her and she has been in some rough weather. I am still very pleased with our purchase and would buy another. I believe the quality is as good if not better than most production boats..

The boat and the manufacture is only the fiberglass they wraps around all the same components shared with most other boats (engine, drives pumps, gauges, fittings, etc) 95% of a boat you buy is not materials made by the manufacturer.

So, with that said:

Regal makes a great hull (fiberglass) and more important, from what I saw with Dave's experiences, they are a stand up company that supports the end user. You will hear about how they use "cored hulls", take such with a grain of salt and do your homework.
