Parked my large diesel truck next to the boat all winter, and did not notice the soot and unburnt fuel that came out of the stack landed on the boat.
Black soot came off easy, but the orange spots will not come off. tried finesse it II, and most comes off with alot of work, but there is still spots. tried compound, same thing. Took compound on the nonskid, with a hard bristle toothbrush, and it gets most of it off, but still leaves orange spots.
Anyone have any advise?

Hi Gary. I've had some luck with FSR (Fiberglass stain remover). The worst stain I ever had was from a can of purple PVC Primer. It leaked on my swim platform while I was building my PVC frame for winter storage. I tried all the things you tried above with no luck. Surprisingly, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser took it out completely.

Greg,
Tried magic eraser with no luck. Goof off did the job, but still leaving stain. tried clr, acetone, mineral spirits, spray 9, clorox cleanup gel with bleach, soft scrub, etc. and none has removed the stain completely. smooth gelcoat was buffed with compound, and looks good, but non skid is where the problem is.

Try sno-bowl, it works on every stain so far.
