I recently removed the thermostat housing on my Volvo Penta 5.0 looking for rubber pieces that came off the mangled raw water impeller. I wasn't able to find any pieces in the thermostat housing. However, since I have the thermostat housing open I plan to replace the thermostat. I have two questions:
How do I get the thermostat to come out from the housing?
Second, where is the mostly likely place for all the pieces of the impeller to end up and should I worry about finding them?
