This weekend seemed like a perfect opportunity to get the new name on our boat. So with a very carefullly thought out 15 minute plan I invited some folks at our marina to come by and cheer us on. After a brief expunging cermony we had the naming ceremony. Couple of bottle of champaigne and some wine. And we were were done. Unfortunately the camera battery died so no actual pictures of the name this time. I will add on when I go back next weekend. It was interesting to note that as we started it began to rain and actually had picked up pretty good towards the end. But when we finished and I revealed the new name the sun came out and shown on the boat and a double rainbow appeared over the bow. Here are a few photos:

Double Rainbow

Regardless of superstition or not, there is something to be said for the kind of people in the boating world when they will stand in the rain and listen to someone they don't know or have just met for no other reason than to help them begin their journey.

Now that's some positive karma. What did you name her?

Mark - her name is Miss Gnomie to go with the three gnome dudes in the chillin' with my gnomies in m avatar.

Dusty - I am at Olversons' Lodge Creek in Callao, Va
