On our last trip out I noticed that my outdrive trim was not working properly. I would take off and trim the outdrives up and they would, especially the port side, keep going unless I hit the down switch. So I thought I would have to replace the entire shifter.
After some researcher on the internet, I found out that volvo has a rebuild kit. Actually it is a replacement switch and button for the controller. We got the switches soldered in last night and everything seems to be working fine. So the boat is fixed for 40 bucks. I got off cheap this time. A controller is $500. I like when repairs are easy!!
