I have a painted on 2" blue stripe around my bride combing. Could I wet sand it to give it enough life to last until my next planned yard visit in a couple of years? Grit?

What have you tried? A good compounding with a buffer may do the trick but a light wet sanding should work as well just may have a bit more risk of damage by sanding thru. Are you sure that it's paint not gel coat? I usually like to start by using the most mild approach I would use buff magic and a buffer and see what it looks like then wax or polish.

Doc, you could just remove it & replace with vinyl. Had vinyl on my '93, 37C for 21 years & looks good as new. Fact !

Yuck, just got rid of the 20 y/o vinyl boot stripe on my 34 c. New one is 3 coats of sprayed Awlgrip over primer. Should have done it years ago.
What ever you use on your stripe, test a small less conspicuous area first.

1. I like the look of paint but if I did it myself, it would look like I did it.

2. If I tried to apply tape it would look like I did it.

I think that I will try compound for now and get it painted next time I go to the yard.
