My boat has an old Ross "Fisherman" Flasher depth sounder model FT-50C which is a large flasher type unit that I got with the boat. It has a 50 ft depth range on the dial. Does anyone know what transducer it used? i.e. 50, 100, 200 kHz. I am replacing it with a new Furuno LS 4100 which is dual 50 & 200 kHz.
I'm hoping I can hook it up to the old unit and get some basic depth reading so I can use it for awhile before I get a chance to haul the boat and install the new Transducer.
If it is not compatible can that hurt the new Furuno if I try hooking it to the old transducer? Any help is appreciated.
