I thought the water in my bilge was from a leak at the drive shaft on the port side. The dealer mechanic was kind enough to take a look. He is very sure that that Tides dripless remains OK. On looking closely at the port rudder gland he found it showing lots of scum and "green" and some paths caused by water leading to the bilge.
Sooo, Have any of you had experience repacking rudder glands on 1997 330DAs or similar? I repacked my drive shafts on a prior boat. I used GoreTex it was the first time they did not drip. Is the rudder gland about the same? Thanks, JS
