I have a 1982 Egg Harbor equipped with 2 Electrasans that were there when I purchased the boat. They are currently bypassed with the sanitation hoses going to a Y valve, and on to the holding tank. Question: I boat in no discharge areas, so all waste goes directly to the holding tanks. Will I get any benefit at all from utilizing the Electrasans, such as odor control, etc., or would I be better off just removing them from the boat? I have removed the handle from the Y valve so I am legal. Also, I will be replacing the original sanitation hose shortly, is there any brand of hose I can buy that will utilize the screw-on vacuum hose type original connectors, or would I even want to? I am assuming they were a product of Raritan, or of a supplier used by Raritan or Egg Harbor.
