I have four nice scratches on my boat right below the VHF antenna mount and spaced about 10" apart. They weren't there when I left the boat for the last time in the fall. I am really pi$$ed. I can picture in my mind exactly how this might have happened when they moved my boat from its slip to the haul out dock. (Put my boat on the hip of the work boat, start heading down the fairway and get a little loose in the wind). My starboard side rakes along the bow pulpit/anchor of a boat on the other side of the fairway and they go on their merry way.
So, Mr Wheeler and I have a meeting at the boat Saturday morning. Of course, in his mind he's thinking that I got sideways while docking and did it myself and I'm looking for a free repair. I almost wish I did do it myself, then I would only be pi$$ed at myself. But when you entrust a huge investment (for me anyway), and pay what we pay for the "privelege" of being in Haverstraw Marina, you would hope that they would at least have the courtesy and professionalism to treat your investment with a little more care.
I'm venting now because I'm upset. Maybe Saturday's meeting will leave me feeling better. We'll see. More to come.
