Hi,
I am looking at getting a 1993 270 Weekender 7.4L with Bravo 2 dirve. Anybody have and info, comments, things to look for pos or neg comments about this boat.
Thanks
Most guys like Bravo Threes. One of our ROs has a 25' SR with 5.7 and Bravo Two, is pleased with it. If it's an older saltwater boat, the B3 might have corrosion problems that the B2 probably won't share.
Well I trialed the boat yesterday and brought it home. I check everything that was pointed out on yacht survey about the 93 270 sundancer and it looked good. Boat was trailed or kept in dry storage so it didn't have nay corrosion issues. Motor and all fluids looked clean and ran very strong with good compression. Man I know why everyone says get the biggest engine you can for the boat. That 7.4L Bravo 2 had no need for trime tabs to plane out quickly with 5 on board with full water and fuel tanks. Now I just need to learn how to handle it a bit better and also loading on the trailer is alot harder than my old 19' boat. I was thinking of putting on guide bunks to help straighten it out so it lines up easier. Anybody have any tips for loading on bunk trailer.
Sounds like you may have already bought a boat, but there's a huge difference in going up one year to 94 or later, with the new cabin design. However, nothing wrong with the old one, if the price is right.
Get the guide bunks to hold the boat straight above the trailer, very helpful if it is windy. I have them for my 260cc. without them I would be looking like a moron some days.
