OK here;s the deal. Been a member of Sa Tow 3 years now. Never had to use them. Which is good. I read my contract and talked to a person about this. But my question is:
The boat is registered in NJ under my wifes name, and also under my wifes name to Sea Tow. I am the primary user, and alot of times she is not aboard when I set out for fishing trip. If I need Sea Tow assistance when she is not on board am I covered? Being same last name and address etc?
Thanks
Joe

Your boat is covered no matter who is on board, even Uncle Louie.

Yes, but if Uncle Willie is operating your boat, he is not covered - unless they've changed the policy recently.

Sea Tow modified its policy a couple of years ago to cover your boat, no matter who is at the helm, and any boat you, as the member, may rent, charter or borrow. I'm not sure what BoatUS did to counter.

Good point, Phil. Neither company will cover you if you are out on a friend's boat as a guest.
