Vic,

Sounds like this is "the" hose to get. I need to replace the hose from the Y valve to the discharge seacock as well as the sanitation hose to the holding tank. Is this hose ok to use below the waterline? Thanks Vic!

Sure, it's used below the waterline most of the time. However, if the through-hull is also below the waterline, your insurance man will want you to install a vented loop, to protect the boat from sinking if a fitting were to break, etc. The vented loop should be 4-6" above the waterline at the greatest anticipated angle of heel, and should be as close to the through-hull as possible.

Thanks Vic! The hose on there now looks to be a hardwall hose similar to that of an engine cooling intake hose. It goes directly from the "Y" to the through-hull located on the bottom of the boat. I will see if I can add a loop in the installation.
