I'm starting to shop around for a 34-37 Sedan Convertible and found a nice '92 Searay. I don't know much about SRs but I've had two people (both brokers) that made the same comment..."Don't buy a Searay, they're 'tail draggers'". When questioned about what they meant, they said that they have difficulty getting on plane, ride bow high and don't have efficient hull designs. This particular boat has prop pockets. Is this a valid concern or are they more interested in just showing me boats that they happen to have listed which weren't SRs?
