Shark in Copiague, Tanner Park

Note the date. The story is dated 4/2 and refers to it first being reported "yesterday".

Pretty sure an animal that size would run aground before it ever got in there.
 
My wife sent the article to me last week. Does not sound possible. They went out a caught the fish and brought it to Tanner Park. Did they install an underwater fence to keep it in the canal? Just sounds like a one date late April fools story.
 
We have a condo up there across from Tanner......I'm sure we would've heard from our neighbors if there was a shark there
 
I was told it was an April Fools prank, what news paper would do something that idiotic? Besides, the shark would never have survived a small enclosure as Tanner park.
