I awakened Annabo on Sunday, took off the winter cover, gave her a quick bath and started up the engine. Shoulda done it on Saturday so I could have taken her out on Sunday, but alas, the weatherman was wrong again. They said it was going to be cold and raining, but it was a beautiful day in the Philly area!

I was a little worried this spring that I'd have problems, since I didn't add antifreeze to the block as I usually do in the fall. I just drained the block, and then left a 100 watt light bulb in the engine compartment all winter. I also need to change the oil and drive lube, as I didn't get a chance to do it in the fall either.

In any case, the engine fired right up, and I saw no signs of any cracks or leaks. YEA!

Now I just need to wait for a nice Saturday or Sunday to get her out on the water for the first time this year!

Good way to add some rust in the block cavities. But you know this.

Right?

Yes.... I knew it was better to do the antifreeze thing, but I had some other issues going on and couldn't get to it.

Great Bob, when are you going to take her out? I am getting splashed Wed. and can't wait. I feel like a kid every year about this time.
