I didn't even want to start today 'cause it's haul-out day but I moved forawrd anyway...

Picked up my glasses and the lens fell out with the screw that holds everything together completely vanishing...

Drove 8 miles to the Optometrist - just to find that they're closed on Wednesdays...

Went to the drug store to get some "generics" and had to settle for something that was marginal...

No biggie, went back to the house, got on the boat - 45 degrees and cloudy but the tide was right and not much wind so shoved off for the ramp, trailer guy was there, perfect loading on the first try, hopped in with my ride and went back to the house to await Riverbed's arrival.

Five minutes later she arrives - minus the radome and the GPS antenna courtesy of a low-hanging branch...

Some days it's just better to go to the pub and warm up to a nice bottle of single malt...

I know the feeling, after my last outing with the tree, I`m wondering what could go wrong when I move the boat downstream for winter haulout, (It`s about a 1/4 mile!) I was telling the guys at the marina I`ll just untie it and push it off and they can snag it as it goes by, might be safer! :)

I hate to hear that. The last time I pulled mine out I gave up a VHF antenna for ransome to a tree branch and that was only pulling it up the ramp and out of the way to get everything buttoned down.
Like I always say, it could have been worse.
