Hi everybody....

Because of my position with the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County (where the Hudson and Mohawk meet in Waterford and points north/west), I have been asked to write a blog in the Times Union which happens to have had a lot of marine-related entries of late, so I thought I'd share the URL here in case anyone would enjoy the read - there are some nice photos too and links to other info for research. If you're planning an upstate NY trip on land or sea this year and are looking for advice, please call me! Or if you're north of Albany by car, the Chamber also maintains the Northway-Exit 9 Rest Area Information Center, so feel free to stop in and pick up literature or talk to our friendly staff and volunteers :)

Pete,

I'm having a boat delivered (on land) from Lake George to Albany Preserve, then launched into the Hudson for our maiden voyage to Tarrytown, our home port. Planning to do this on Thursday 5/23. Any advice or words of caution?
