Had a marina fire about 10 years ago - scary. A boat about 5 boats from shoreline (perpendicular dock, boats both sides parallel to shore) on a 250' or so dock - total of maybe 30 boats. Luckly, wind was coming on shore. Lost the 'firestarter', and two boats to the shoreward side - only.
Scariest part was when the mooring lines on the fire ridden boat melted, and the boat set adrift into the fairway.
Had the wind been going the other way. . ..
