It's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow, who else is thinking about uncovering their boat and getting out for a spin??

I am - and its already to go, start engines, cast off and burn fuel ;-)

Next winter I am leaving my boat in the water for the winter. It'll probably be an ice age next year!!!!

Andy, do you winterize the motors or just rely on the block heaters?

Jonathan

Don't take the shrinkwrap off just yet, there is supposed to be cold weather coming within the next couple weeks.

Yeehaw! Bubba burgers and very good burbon!

Just block heaters for the mains and I winterize the Genset

But now I may not get out this weekend because of this work thing!

I like the block heater option.

Yeah work sux, but remember it pays for the boat!!!

Jonathan

Andy, no problem, just tell us where the keys are. You do have cold beer aboard, don't you?

Skip the beer and head for the burbon.
Andy I still have to laugh about that since I had the unopened Jose Q. Reserva D'la familia, and you had that ultra high end Burbon. We were ready to do some real damage to each other but since neither of us wanted the other to open a new bottle we stayed sober!

Andy, perhaps you would like to remind the rest of the RO's why you now use aluminum "bottles".

OK Mike,

During the 2005 HRCC/LICC raft up, a bunch of the ‘boys’ were hanging out behind the stern of our boat and they we’re running “dry’ from all the BS’ing in the sun.. So a request came in for some brew which I had being iced in a large cooler on the bridge
To accommodate the thirsty RO’s I starting throwing bottles (long necks) of Bud to them
It was like throwing fish to hungry seals.[:-goldfish]

Unfortunately I started chucking the bottles to guys much farther away and hit the radar arch with one of the bottles. Needless to say I just christened the boat with Bud and spent the next hour picking up the glass [:-banghead]

Everytime I see that shot of the raftup I get a good laugh at the boat placement. Didn't Chuck get a stomach painting that weekend?

Yes, Chuck did indeed get painted that weekend. He would regularly pass out on the rear bench seat and my wife would always make him remember it... His fiberglass really got tested that weekend.. I swear I heard a few creaks and cracks...
