Okay - definitely mechanically challenged person here. Our "new" old boat- 1979 Stern drive Chrysler stalled after being out for fifteen minutes. A "friend" mechanic looked at it yesterday and saw the carburator line was loose - the bolt is stripped and he was going to replace it for me tomorrow. Do you folks think that could be the cause?
When I was reading the manual today it says use LEADED gas only (again 1979 Manual) and of course here in Rhode Island we only have the new ethernol fuel....do you think that is a problem - not sure what kind of gas tank it is...fiberglass or plastic but I heard that might have to be replaced too because the fuel eats the tank or something like that.
