Summer cruise

Well on Friday my wife and I along with another couple on their boat will be headed from the Kent Island area south on our annual vacation for 2 weeks. We are headed to Solomons for one night and then off to Cavaliers Yacht and country club in Virginia Beach for 3 days of golf and beach. After that we head to Norfolk for one night to prep for our Carolina loop. We will be headed through the Dismal Swamp heading to Elizabeth City to meet with the Rose Buddies for an evening and then down the pasquatank river into the Albemarle sound and back up to Coinjock for some Prime Rib. From there we will have a long run up to the Rappahannack River to the Tides Inn where we will meet up with several of our boating friends for a 3 day layover. After that the 2 of us will head to the Cambridge Hyatt for 3 nights and then Annapolis for another 2 nights before heading home.

All plans have been made and the boat has been prepped so we are ready to go. It is hard to focus on work until then but it will come and go quicker than I would like. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for the long runs and we will be able to stay on schedule. If not we will just have to camp out someplace and relax until we can make our way.

But seriously, have a great trip. I haven't been to the Tides in years. It's a nice stop.

It sounds like a great trip.

My wife and I just finished 2 weeks on the upper Chesepeake, A total of 465 miles and 11 ports. We had a great trip, and only a couple of mechanical and weather issues. We made every port as planned, and only had one day, where we could not run at our planed speed.
