sundancer trim gauge inop?

What should I check 1st? No big deal but it's nice to have all gauges working properly.

Sending unit on the side of the drive.

Mine was not really working either. I played with the sending unit and it works, but is not the most acurate.

IMHO.....its a poor design......to have an electric switch under water.......I changed mine a few times and then gave up.......and went inboards.

What does it look like?

.....on the side of the drive......looks like a small hockey puck with 2 wires going to it.
