Need help for a friend. Boat is at Marine Max in Burford Ga.

shoot me an email. I've got the name/number of a very good surveyor for Lake Lanier but it's at my office.

Try Boling Douglas of Marine Surveyors & Consultants, LLC at 770-967-4175. They'be been on Lanier for many, many years and surveyed a few boats for me in the past. Ted36M might have someone he can recommend as well- the guy that surveyed his carver last year but I think that guy is brothers with someone that works at marinemax???

Also, feel free to post what boat it is he's looking at- someone around Lanier might know the boat.

I got in touch with Alan Douglas and he is taking care of my needs...THANKS! Jay

Glad to hear it Jay- Alan is the one who actually did my surveys- very nice and very knowledgable. We still want to know what your brother is buying! :D

He is my friend, sorry for the mix up. He is up sizing from a 07 290 sundancer to a 07 330 Chaparral. He started out with go-fast Bajas and traded in a 29 Fountain to the 290 Dancer to better suit he handicaped son. He likes the 290 SR. but the door way is difficult to get him into the cabin. He thinks the 330 will be easier. Chaparrals are very popular on our small dock(20 boats) 4 of which are chaps! Thanks again for the help. I will update when I get survey back! JAY

Jayrock,
Is it the Chap 330 over at Marine Max? They have a used 2007 Sig 330 and 310. The 330 looks great been on that boat. I have also been on the 310 they have and for a 2007 it needs some attention.

Joey,
Is that the Chap 330 you took out on the test ride and hit that stump and almost sunk?

hahaha- just kidding Jayrock!

That 330 hasn't been in the water for some time. Last time I was on it, it was over at Marine Max in Buford in their parking lot. The 310 has been all over the place more recently over in our neck of the woods at Bald Ridge Marina. Either the previous owner or Marine Max stripped out the TV satellite system, wires were all undone on the TV system and you can tell the holes for the dish mount (radar arch) were filled with 5200. The 310 also hit a dock pretty bad the stainless steel rub rail is rusting where the scratches are about a 6 to 8 foot spot. At one point I interested in the 310 but they needed to do a lot things before I would even consider it, in addition to dropping the price. They are VERY willing to deal on that 310 since they have had it for over a year, also Marine Max used it for their "party boat" so you have to consider it might be a little abused.

Woodsong, I hope they used alot of 5200 to fill the holes!! HAHAHA!! I am waiting to here from Alan.......

I hear from Allen today, he said that it was a like NEW boat. We will proceed as planned. She ought to make my buddy a nice boat!
