If I use synthetic oil when I winterize, will I need to change the oil every year?

as a rule you should change the oil at layup every year, Synthetic will help with overall engine wear when you use your boat but unlike cars where oil change intervals can be extended by using synthetic, you are locked into changing oil at layup with a boat....this is just MHO...

Change it annually or every 50 hours, which ever comes first. It is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy for your boat. Synthetic is fine as is Rotella or Delo.
