This is sad news indeed. I had several conversations on the phone with Tom over the years. He has sent me seals, rams, and even a set of experimental tabs, and never charged me a dime. A customer service icon.
Gee, first I'm hearing this (my own fault for being away from BE). Tom helped me out as well and even gave me a auto tab retractor free a number of years ago. Rest well, Tabman!
