Unless the law has changed since I got rid of my little 6' trailer a few years ago (and I doubt it has), every registered vehicle, including small trailers, must be inspected annually. Inspection is supposed to cover tires, axles and bearings, lights, hitch, frame condition, and safety chains. Our family had an auto repair business for over 40 years and, for many of them, inspections were part of the day-to-day money earners. We stopped inspections when the new, required computerized 'car-rolling' inspection machine hit the multi-multi-thousand dollar cost. Inspections were no longer profittable. Hy
Now they don't even use those Dyno machines anymore for inspections. All that money for nothing. My good friend has a repair shop. He sold his to the scrap guy for the weight.
