My wife purchased a $25.00 Texaco fuel gift card from our church as part of their fund raising and gave it to me as a stocking stuffer. Not recalling seeing any Texaco stations around I checked out their website and learned that Texaco/Chevron is only located in the South and west. I called the church person back and they said that there is a Texaco station on Merrick Ave in Merrick. Anyone know if this is true before I start driving looking for it?

I know I have seen a Texaco sign on the water.....maybe in Amityville, I think it may be Amity Harbor Marine but not sure. If so, hold on to it and get some fuel there if its not too much of a hassel.

Are you looking for a Texaco on land or on the water? I think there's one in Seaford on the water, on the canal where Treasure Island is. I also found this with Google (http://web.sa.mapquest.com/texaco/advantage.adp?proxIconId=400&transaction=search&searchQuantifier=AND&ph=300&pw=300&zoomlevel=8&country=US&county=&iconID=32&search13=1&radius=100&search6=1&address=&city=&stateProvince=&postalCode=11758&x=50&y=11). I pass there every morning so I'll let you know for sure tomorrow.

I'm looking for gas for the car. I'll go to Seaford if there is one there. I looked in the phone book as well and there are no listings for Nassau County. I'll advise the church of the lack of texaco stations in the area. Meanwhile, a coworker is offering me $5.00 for the card as he travels to Florida often and there is a Texaco station near his home. Oh what to do!

Texaco web site said no stations with in 20 miles

I guess that's why its been a while since I heard the old:
You can trust your car to the man who wears the star....

Adam, hang on to it for another day or two so I can check the place I found on or near Sunrise.

Thanks, I'll wait it out. it's funny that I never realized that texaco and Chevron faded away from the Northeast! I recall the the Texaco Starports for marine fuel as well but I guess those are gone too.

Adam, drove by where they said there's a Texaco and didn't see any. Have you tried calling the company for a location? Some of these places rarely update their sites!

There is a Texaco on the water in Island Park just W of Reed Channel LIRR Bridge. Andy's Texaco, probably been there for forty years. Tom who runs the place is a great guy. Good stop for bacon and eggs on a Sunny Sunday.

There used to be a Texaco on Merrick Ave just south of Camp Ave, but it was changed to a Citgo about 2 years ago.
