All,
have a couple day trip planned next week up the Thames River to American Warf Marina in Norwich, CT. Have read / asked / and know about staying in the channel in the upper river due to the semi-submerged dykes and rocks and will make the trip at mid-low tide so they should be exposed. What I am not sure on is the first 6 or so miles from the mouth of the river north to the Navy Yard marina and the protocals for speed / no wakes. I have read about "unmarked" no wakes at the sub yard and I believe marked no wake at the navy yard / marina. Looking for a little insight on that first 6 miles, and glad to hear more on the upper river too. Thanks.
