...is near. This is our final weekend on the boat of this wonderful season. Twas quite cold last night, but looks like it will be a nice day.

We are all going to try to eat and drink all the stuff on our boats, so that we don't have to lug it home.

Sorry to hear that Mike. We know that you are a fighter and held out as long as you could. May your winter be warm, safe and quick.

Today I winterized the motors and genny only thing left is shrink wrap. I even start buffing the hull to get a jump on the spring cleaning. I may go back tomorrow and do some more.

Mike when are you dropping off your boat? The yard is filling up quick this year.

Rommer there must be something to what you have been saying because there are very few boats at SPBM this winter in fact it's like a ghost town there.
I have kept my boat at Pasty's bay / Bell Harbor as long as I have been boating on the Hudson (at least in my own boat not parents) I have never had any dealing with anyone else. I'm very happy with the management there and I have no reason to go elsewhere. I'm just surprise so many have jumped ship and joined me. I'm very happy for the owner at Patsy's but I'm concerned about the future at SPBM I love my summer slip and have no plans of moving any time soon but I don't know what games they might play when things get tight there from lack of winter revenue.

I would like to wish everyone a great winter and hope to see you all back on the River in the spring.

I started winterizing today. (water and Toilet) as well as replacing a leaking hose. It was pretty quite on the docks, the restraunt however was getting crowded. I'll probably be taking it out in the next 2 weeks.

We pulled Freedom back out of the water. The new seals with GFO packing are not going to work out. Back to dripless....

Chilly here in FL this morning. Had to put a tee shirt on.
Seriously, tongue neither in cheek nor sticking out... I absolutely admire the whole hog way the northerners get into boating. Season may not be as long, but you pack the very most into it and enjoy it to the max. I truly hope that:
you had a wonderful season.
the off season will pass happily.
you work out any details and bugs before you splash again.
that again comes quickly.
and you have many more wonderful seasons!

Think we were hauled yesterday, Cant complain, we had a great summer with alot of stories to be told over the winter..

Loney and lame....Oh well bring down a bottle of booze (does not matter what type) and we will keep her company...

Bbbrrrrrrr
I live in Georgia and normally winterize Around Dec 1st. I have no need to pull out. Looking at the weather and comparing NY to GA looks like we are having the sames temps. Actually it will be colder here on Friday & Saturday. Good thing Saturday is soup night at the dock it will keep us warm!
GA temp is the first temp per line and NY temp is the 2nd.

That's it, I'm done. Pumped out, fueled up, brought it over to Patsy's. Winterized engines & genny, hauled & blocked.

We floated her again (all totalled she was in and out 3 additional times, the prop shop ate the expense of the shaft work and the yard only charged us for the original haul).
Had her up to 20 knots on the St. Lucie canal and she blew out a fuel pressure switch that turns on the hour meters. Diesel cleaned up, and today we think we are ready to move finally.

We can start a thread on that Bruce and at some point I will.
