Les.. at the risk of setting myself up for a public lashing... can you tell us (me) what was posted in the "Walmart oil" thread to cause the whole thing to be blown away.. unless I'm going blind (and I'm obviously asuming you deleted it). Was it the mention (promotion?) of Walmart pricing on marine products or ...

Yes, I did delete it. There are certain engines and lower units that require OEM lubricants, especially to maintain the warranty. I'm just not comfortable recommending Wal-Mart as a source of all marine lubricants.

And, Bill, you know as well as I that all major issues are decided by a vote of the subscribers. This is not a dictatorship.

Jeff, there is no way to make an entry in a thread like that without leaving it intact. Again, the intent was just to have folks just avoid damaging their equipment or voiding their warranty. Plus there was no question posed - just an ad for Walmart. We can't be berating tritonman for his and then ignore this one just because it's walmart - although the intent was entirely different. I don't have much time to review each and every post and evaluate the content. Sometimes I make the wrong decision, not often though.
