Tilt'Trim pump leaking oil

Hi all,
I have a 1999 Merc 225 O/B and the tilt pump is leaking oil. It's not a lot of oil at this point and it is still working ok. I know I need to pull the boat and do the seals on the pump. Question is am I doing any damage by waiting until the Fall and filling the pump as needed during the season?

Is that the one that's mounted outside on the transom bracket. Are you able to tell if it's a high pressure side or reservoir/low pressure side.

Yes, it's mounted on the transom. To the left is the fill cap to the reservoir. I assume it's the low pressure system you mentioned but I'm not sure.
