Can someone give me the simplest way to time merc 350 with four barrel carb. I have a problem at top end it is an 81 26 ft searay and it runs good until I hit 3400 rpms and it has backfired once and the other day started knocking I thought I blew a rod but backed down and ran fine I am thinking timing for starters.
