Merry Christmas to you and Cathy. Why do I have the feeling you guys have really decked out your home for the holidays? I'm sure it looks nice.

Merry Christmas everybody! I wish all of you a great 2014!

Thanks all!

Actually, Charles, we have! I guess I should post pictures sometime.

Merry Christmas (albeit late) and have a great and safe New Year! Maybe we'll meet on the bay.
Keith

Keith,
I see Chestertown as your homeport so we must be close by.

Yep. We're in Great Oak. This past summer was our first full season in the bay. In the Delaware River for a lot of years prior to that (no jokes!). Really enjoyed this past summer. So much more to do.

Keith, well then, we do need to get together with some of the others here. Still Pond is the usual gathering place, either in the creek for most of us or outside if John wants to come play but not but be challenged by his deep draft. Where on the Delaware? Our first boating experiences where on the Delaware out of the Columbia Yacht Club next to the Linden Ave ramp. Not sure if its even there anymore. Spent a lot of summer days in Tullytown Cove next to Trash Mountain ;).

Columbia goes back a few years and it is gone. I used to fish at the hatcheries there. Ok, that was more that 40 years ago! Prior to last year we were in the State marina for several years. Jack's/Three Seasons before that. I'm sure we must have some common acquaintances. I hope not too many read this but we did trash mountain too. Contrary to popular belief we did not grow additonal toes or fingers (although we have an interesting glow at night). Can't tell you how happy my wife and I are to finally make the move to the bay. We were fortunate enough to have friends from the State move their boats with us so that eased the move for us.

Keith, did you know "Big Daddy", Bob Davis? He's the guy that got me into boating (and the CYC) back in 1974.

Absolutely. had quite a few Crown Royals on his boat. Great guy. His boat was at the State marina when he passed.

Didn't know Bob passed. Haven't seen him or Kay in about 10 years. He and I worked together (DoD) back in the 1970's and early 80's. In fact, my bachelor party was on his boat {the Bluebird).

It's been a few years since he passed. I haven't seen Kay in about 2 years. Hope she is well. By the way, in december i was in one of you old haunts. China!. Was in Shanghai when the air quality was 505!. You couldn't see across the street. you could eat it. Bet you miss that.

Seems Bob died young... maybe early 70's?

And, no, I don't miss China but Shanghai was one of my favorite places over there.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but my dad took me fishing at the hatcheries when I was a kid. Caught my first fish there. Good memories!

Mike,
I would guess early 70s as well.
Bob,
We fished there and skated on it in the winter. spent a lot of time there. You're right. Great mem0ries.
