Decided to check bearings on my jetski trailer. Couple of questions.
1) They don't have a cotter pin. It's like a piece of metal in there, flexible, almost like solder. Got one out, but the other won't budge. Any tricks? Shouldn't this be a cotter pin?
2) The one wheel I got off, I got the bearing out on the front, but I see one in the back. How do you get that one out? Doesn't seem to one to budge and I am not sure how much force to use. I assume it comes out.
3) How do you know if the bearings are shot or if you have them out do you just replace them? The one I have out does not look like a perfect circle, so I think its bad. No rust.
Any other maintenance I should do while this thing is apart?
