I had the boat out last weekend, and ran for 5-6 hours with no problems at all. I loaded it on the trailer, raised the trim, with no problems. I went today to take a friend out, but when I tried to lower the prop, all i get is a click, every time I hit the switch.
It is a 18 foot caravelle, with an OMC outdrive hooked to a ford 4 cyl 140. There is one wire thqt leads to a fuse (50a) that was blown. I replaced it, with no luck, same result when I hit the switch. My buddy, last week before we took it out, grounded out a wire on the altenator, and we replaced a wire to the switch. I wonder if this had anything to do with it, but we had no problems til today. The wire leading from the fuse looks to have gotten too hot before also.
Any help to keep me on the water for this weekend would be appreciated.
