It's a Mercruiser alpha 1, Gen 2. The trim/tilt raises and lowers the drive just fine, but it makes a creaking sound both ways. Kinda like a hinge that needs oiling. Any ideas?

Thanks..... Roy

are there grease fittings on the drive pivot?

most likely you have a drive with the grease fittings missing from the factory or the trim rams need rebuilding or replacing

I don't think there any grease fittings on the drive, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll check tomorrow. It's a 2014 drive.

Sometimes there will be a small plug instead of a zerk. Replace the plug with a zerk.

If I have to make more video "How to`s" for installing the missing grease fitting ,I`ll start drinking again or be making a lot of money with mobile installs

Where is your video? I couldn't find it on Youtube.

Roy

Get someone to raise and lower while you listen to exactly where the squeek is coming from. If it's from the ends of the rams, loosen them and put on some grease to the pins.

all I have are the pics to install it in a transom housing to grease the steering pin.
The fitting can be installed without any disassembly/
